Summer Feeding Program

The Nicholas County Board of Education announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service  Program.


Breakfast and Lunch is open to all children, ages 18 years and under, who would like to participate. All meals must be eaten onsite during the times listed.

Meals will be served at the following sites beginning June 19, 2023 through July 28, 2023 five days a week Monday – Friday (Mt. Lookout will not start until June 21st):

Gauley River Elementary 
Breakfast: 8:30 am – 9:00 am 
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Mt. Lookout Elementary
Breakfast: 8:30 am – 9:00 am 
Lunch: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm

Panther Creek Elementary
Breakfast: 8:30 am – 8:30 am 
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Summersville Elementary
Breakfast: 9:30 am – 10:00 am 
Lunch: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm

Meals will be served at the following site beginning June 19, 2023 through July 21, 2023 five days a week Monday – Friday:

Birch River Elementary
Breakfast: 8:30 am – 9:00 am 
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Meals will be served at the following sites beginning July 3, 2023 through July 27, 2023 four days a week Monday – Thursday:    

Zela Elementary
Breakfast: 9:30 am – 10:00 am 
Lunch: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm

Richwood Middle School
Breakfast: 8:30 am – 9:00 am 
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Summersville Middle School
Breakfast: 9:30 am – 10:00 am 
Lunch: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm

Meals will be served at the following site for the week of July 17, 2023 through July 21, 2023 –
Monday through Friday:

Glade Creek Elementary
Breakfast: 8:30 am – 9:00 am
Lunch: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Meals will be served at the following sites for the week of July 24, 2023 through July 28, 2023 –
Monday through Friday:

Mt. Nebo Elementary
Breakfast: 8:30 am – 9:00 am 
Lunch12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

All Sites will be closed June 20th in observance of WV Day and July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
