Group photo of approximately 30 Nicholas County Schools administrators and staff standing outside the entrance of a tan brick school district building. A sign above the doorway reads, “Nicholas County Schools – Educating Students in the 21st Century.” The group is gathered on the sidewalk in front of the building, many wearing matching navy blue “I ♥ WV Public Schools” T-shirts. The photo is taken from a low angle, showing a large blue sky filled with scattered white clouds above the building. The image represents district leadership and staff coming together at the start of the new school year.

Nicholas County Schools principals and central office staff came together on Tuesday, August 5, to officially kick off the 2026-2027 school year. The opening session provided an opportunity for administrative leaders to participate in professional development, receive important updates, and collaborate in preparation for the year ahead.

As the district looks forward to welcoming students and staff back to school, the focus remains on working together to support one another, celebrate successes, and prioritize opportunities to recharge throughout the year. Through collaboration, commitment, and a shared dedication to student success, Nicholas County Schools is excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and achievement.
