Zela Elementary Run Club
Running is one of the most accessible sports out there. The only equipment required is running shoes, and you can do it anywhere. Plus, running promotes a healthy heart, healthy lungs, and strong muscles. Active SWV chooses running to give kids a physical activity they can take anywhere, and continue throughout their lives.
Zela Elementary has partnered with the Buckskin Council to offer the Cub Scout program to all students at our school. All girls and boys in kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to participate in this exciting educational program. Participation in the program is free of charge, and includes all activities, materials, and awards. Meetings will be held after school on Thursdays from 2:30-4:00PM. Parents will need to plan to pick up their child at 4:00pm. A list of meeting dates can be viewed on the front page of the Zela Elementary School website or here. Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a federally assisted program providing free fresh fruits and vegetables to children at eligible elementary schools during the school day. The goal of the FFVP is to introduce children to fresh fruits and vegetables, to include new and different varieties, and to increase overall acceptance and consumption of fresh, unprocessed produce among children.
