Dear Mt. Nebo Elementary School Families, Community Members, and Students,
I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all of you as we embark on a new academic year at Mt. Nebo Elementary School. I hope this letter finds you and your family well-rested and excited for the year ahead. It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of our wonderful school.
My name is Andrea McMillion, and I am honored to join the Mt. Nebo community. With 19 years of experience in education, including 4 years in leadership roles, I am committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and high-achieving environment for all our students. I believe that a strong partnership between home, school, and the community is vital for the success of our children, and I am eager to work collaboratively with each of you.
At Mt. Nebo Elementary School, our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This year, we will focus on:
1. Academic Excellence: Ensuring that every child receives high-quality instruction tailored to their unique needs thus achieving higher academics.
2. Positive School Climate: Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and respected. A place students want to come in order to learn and be around peers.
3. Community Engagement: Strengthening our partnerships with families and the community to support student learning and well-being.
I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know our amazing students. I am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead and am confident that, together, we will make this school year a memorable and successful one for all.
Please join us for our upcoming Open House on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm, where we will have the chance to connect, discuss our goals for the year, and build a strong foundation for the success of our students.
